Product Description

ENHANZ™ Syrup is a prescription oral formulation containing Cyproheptadine

Hydrochloride and Tricholine Citrate, developed to support appetite in patients with

reduced food intake and poor nutritional response. Cyproheptadine is an antihistamine

with appetite-stimulating properties, while tricholine citrate supports digestive and

hepatobiliary function. The syrup is presented in a palatable mango flavour, making it

suitable for pediatric practice under medical supervision.

Composition

Each 5 ml contains:

• Cyproheptadine HCl IP – 2 mg

• Tricholine Citrate IP – 275 mg

• Sorbitol Solution (70%) IP – 2 g

• Flavoured Syrupy Base – q.s.

• Colour – Caramel

Mechanism of Action

Cyproheptadine HCl is a first-generation antihistamine with antiserotonergic activity.

Its effect on serotonin pathways in the hypothalamus is associated with increased

appetite and improved food intake in selected patients. It also helps reduce allergic

symptoms due to its antihistaminic action.

Tricholine Citrate supports bile flow and digestive comfort, which may be helpful in

patients with poor appetite linked to digestive sluggishness.

Together, the combination is used to support appetite and nutritional intake under
